perspective.

We just finished working a little in the nursery and then I came back to sit down in the living room. I glanced down the hallway and saw this: our baby’s room.

Many things came to mind: the hope of a little one coming into our home & a long-time dream being fulfilled.

Then, a starting thinking about perspective. I could view that room as empty, hopeless, noiseless… a place where the baby is not.

or….

I could view it WITH HOPE OF WHAT WILL BE {hopefully soon}!

I refuse to let my perspective ruin this very sweet and precious time of preparation and hope. I feel the Lord preparing me to be a mom, deep down in my heart. I mean, hello, I feel like he’s been preparing me since I was 10, but you know what I mean. I’ve prayed the Lord would allow me to see things from His perspective and through His eyes. {FYI, if you pray that, prepare yourself. Your eyes will not see anything in the same.} I am so grateful to be in this season. I know I keep saying it, but I am blessed and so honored the Lord is going to allow this child to be our son or daughter. I am beyond excited too. 🙂

Much love,

Kailey

Oh and happy spring break to me… Whoop whoop.

  2. Yes girl it is ALL about perspective. We can either be bitter or better…hopeful or hopeless. Choose hope! xoxo

  3. I’m so happy to see a post from you friend! What a beautiful sight you just posted. I know what you mean about our prayers- when we ask to see from His perspective, and mean it, oh, it is never what I expect- there’s such growth, but growing is so painful! I am hoping that your time is SOON- its so exciting to think about that post that’s in the works RIGHT NOW!

  4. Beautiful post! Isn’t it tue how much our perspective can negatively affect a situation. Can’t wait to see that nursery with your baby in it!
